Week in and week out, Scouts gather in groups called Scout Troops to conquer the small task of changing the world.

Welcome to Scouts at Stourport (Mid Severn)

Scouts meet on a Monday evening 19:00 – 21:00
When our Scouts are not out and about on their adventures, they can be found at our group HQ. Find us here
Our Scouts join us between their 10th and 14th birthdays
We have a wonderful Leadership Team who guide our Scouts through their Scouting journey! Meet the team

During their four years with us, our Scouts enjoy a range of fabulous experiences, such as:
- spending the night away from home under the stars on camp,
- fun day trips exploring the world around them,
- representing our Group on District wide events, such as St. George’s Day Parade,
- earning a variety of badges along the way,
- and most importantly – having lots of FUN!

What Scouts wear
Our Scouts wear a uniform during their weekly meetings and sometimes on trips away, depending on where they’re going and what they’re doing. This consists of a light blue shirt or blouse with their badges sewn on, Mid Severn’s red and blue necker which tells people which group our Scouts are from. Our uniforms differ from the normal Scout uniforms, due to Mid Severn being Sea Scouts.
Alongside their shirts, Scouts might wear the accompanying blue uniform trousers or skirt, or they might save their uniform bottoms to wear for special occasions like awards ceremonies and public events – choosing to wear something more casual with their shirt during the week. Optional accessories such as hats, hoodies, are also available.
Why uniform is important
Wearing a uniform is comfy and practical. It means you can run around and get messy without ruining your other clothes. It makes you feel part of a team. It means no one feels uncomfortable or left out. And it gives you a place to show off all the brilliant badges you earn.
Where you can buy uniform
Uniform can either be bought from our online shop – Scout Store – or from a local supplier. If you’re not sure where to start, or could use a little help with uniform costs, fear not. Your Scout leader can chat to you about options. The most important thing when you first arrive is wearing something that you feel natural and comfortable in.
